David Leach

　　David Leach，男，senior visit scholar，1944年6月5日生于美国弗吉尼亚州。

　　David Leach是国际著名矿床学家，长期任职于美国地质调查局，主要从事沉积岩容矿的铅锌矿床研究。他在2010年获矿床学最高奖： R.A.F Penrose Gold Medal （彭罗斯金奖），并在2003-2005期间担任SGA (Society of Geology Applied to Ore Deposits)主席。

　　研究领域：Ore deposit geology and geochemistry, hydrothermal mineral-rock interactions, studies of ore formation in sedimentary rocks with special interest on Mississippi Valley-type and SEDEX Pb-Zn deposits, Active research on global metallogeny, ore deposit modeling, deposit targeting using global geodynamics and secular distributions of ore deposits.
